DR. ALAN HINTON
Dr. Alan Hinton of Hinton Orthopedics is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon who has been practicing in the Lake Charles area for the past 20 years. He is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Medicine, and his specialties include orthopedics as well as sports medicine.
Dr. Hinton is a passionate surgeon who is active in both the medical and Lake Charles community. He has written contributions for several scientific publications and given prestigious scientific presentations at places such as the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Hinton is currently involved in a grassroots research project at McNeese State University and New Orleans BioInnovation Center utilizing stem cells and meniscus regeneration in pigs.
As a partner in the Lake Charles community, Dr. Hinton has served as the president for the Calcasieu Area Boy Scouts Council of America and Assistant Scout Master for Troop 5 with First United Methodist Church in Lake Charles. Dr. Hinton also serves as a Lector for Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church.
